Charles M. Blow graduated magna cum laude from Grambling State University with a B.A. in mass communications. Charles M. Blow is known as the New York Times visual Op-Ed columnist, which is seen every Saturday. Charles first started off as a graphics editor in 1994 and climbed his way to the paper’s graphic designer and held the position for nine years! Charles also covered information graphics of 9/11 and that coverage was the first instance where an award had been given for graphics. Another huge accomplishment from Charles was the first two best in show awards from the Malofiej International Infographics Summit which covered the war in Iraq. After the events, Charles became the paper’s design director for news until he left to become the Art Director of National Geographic Magazine.
